Four PPSU members from Mangga Dua Selatan Urban Village, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, managed to overcome the flood on Jalan Mangga Besar Raya, RW 10, precisely in the front of Jembatan Merah Sluice Gate. Floods as high as 10 centimeters had occurred the Ciliwung River's tributary overflowed.

Mangga Dua Selatan Urban Village Head, Agata Bayu Putra said, it occurred in the morning and had hit the residents' settlements, which are prone to flooding.

"The situation has returned to normal. Nevertheless, we'll do monitoring every hour the river water is still high," he expressed, Monday (11/8).

According to him, efforts being made was to cover the gutters with sandbags. He had also coordinated with the Sawah Besar Sub-district Bina Marga Executing Unit to carry out the stage of raising the road.

"And now the road can be crossed again," he stated.
